It starts with a line on paper. A curve, a cut, a sole pattern taped to a desk. Samples moving around the Rains HQ. Months later, the test becomes the real thing. We created the curved shape of this boot with footwear designer Martin Sallières, using weather maps, the meniscus shape of water, and New York’s grid system as part of the inspiration.

That’s the Rains waterproof formula. It started with coats, now it’s applied to footwear. Because a rain boot shouldn’t ruin your outfit. The Dry Boot was our first design, the rest of the line followed. Inspired by the classic Chelsea, it’s the antidote to flat boots with unnecessary bulk.
